How I Work
Insight is the starting point. Responding differently is the work.
Very little clinical jargon. A clear plan, methods chosen to fit the person in front of me, and goals we keep checking against real life.
Methods, in Plain Language
Trained in many approaches, committed to none of them over you.
Different problems need different tools. Here is what each of these means in ordinary words. No promises attached, because how a method lands is individual.
CBT
Cognitive behavioral therapy: working with the thoughts that drive the spiral.
DBT
Dialectical behavior therapy: skills for intense emotion, distress and impulse.
EMDR
A structured approach to processing memories that still feel loud.
ACT
Acceptance and commitment therapy: acting on your values, not your anxiety.
IFS
Internal family systems: meeting the different parts of you with less conflict.
Psychodynamic
Tracing where a pattern started so it stops running the present.
Somatic
Including the body, because anxiety is rarely only a thought.
Gottman Method
A structured framework for couples work.
EFT
Emotionally focused therapy: the bond underneath the argument.
Mindfulness-based
Practices for noticing what is happening before reacting to it.
Not sure which of these fits what you are dealing with?
That is exactly what the free 5 to 10 minute consultation is for. No clinical detail needed.
Schedule a Consultation
A First Session
Nothing you have to prepare for.
Before We Meet
A free 5 to 10 minute consultation to hear what is going on and decide together whether this is the right fit.
The First 50 to 60 Minutes
Mostly conversation. What brought you here now, what you have already tried, and what you would like to be different.
What You Leave With
A sense of the direction, an idea of pacing, and at least one thing to notice or try before the next session.
As We Go
Structured goals we revisit out loud, so the work stays pointed at what you actually came in for.

Where the Work Happens
In person in Coral Gables, Coconut Grove and Manhattan, or by telehealth anywhere in Florida and New York.
Many people mix the two: in person when they can, video when the week does not allow it. Either way the structure of the work is the same.
