Teen Therapy and Academic Pressure
Anxiety in teenagers can look like conscientiousness for a long time, until the pressure becomes too much to manage. Parents are often part of the process too, as the people who can help change things at home.

Pinecrest
If you live in Pinecrest, you can see a Transformative Mindset therapist by secure video from home or in person at one of our offices nearby. We work with teenagers from 13 and their parents, as well as adults on their own and couples, in sessions that last 50 to 60 minutes.
We don't have an office in Pinecrest, and the closest ones for in-person sessions are in Coral Gables and Coconut Grove.
Common Reasons
Anxiety in teenagers can look like conscientiousness for a long time, until the pressure becomes too much to manage. Parents are often part of the process too, as the people who can help change things at home.
Most clients in the area start with video sessions from home and add in-person visits later if they want to. You can switch formats at any point as your needs or schedule change.
Who We See
Parents usually make the first call, and the free 5 to 10 minute consultation is a good time to ask how confidentiality works for a teenager. For clients under 18, a parent or guardian must give consent, and parents hear about the general direction of therapy rather than the details of each session.
Our work in Pinecrest goes beyond families with teenagers. We also see adults and couples for anxiety, relationship concerns and life transitions.
