Teens & Young Adults
A place to be honest without managing anyone's reaction.
Therapy for teens from age 13 and for young adults, with the same directness Amber brings to her adult work, and none of the talking-down.
What Comes Up
High-achieving young people carry a specific kind of pressure.
Academic and Athletic Pressure
High expectations, from school, from home, and increasingly from themselves.
Anxiety and Overthinking
Worry that shows up as perfectionism, avoidance, stomachaches, or a very short fuse.
Friendships and Social Life
Belonging, comparison, conflict, and everything that continues on a phone after hours.
Identity and Independence
Working out who they are separately from who they have been asked to be.
Family Dynamics
The arguments at home that everyone can predict and nobody can stop.
Transitions
New school, first job, leaving for college, coming back again.
Not sure your teen would go? Most parents start with the consultation themselves.
A free 5 to 10 minute consultation to ask how it works before anyone is asked to commit.

For Parents
Your teen needs privacy. You need to know the work is going somewhere.
Amber is clear with families from the start about what stays between her and your teen, and how safety concerns are handled.
Parents are looped in on direction and goals rather than session content, enough to support the work at home without your teen feeling reported on.
The free 5 to 10 minute consultation is a good place to ask these questions before anyone commits.

Getting There
After school in Coral Gables or Coconut Grove, or by video from home.
Both offices are easy to reach on the way home, and telehealth covers the weeks when practice, exams or a long drive make that impossible.
