Background

How Beth came to this work.

  • Trauma-informed care
  • Substance use
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Mood disorders

Beth earned her degree in Psychology and Psychoanalysis from Tel Aviv University and holds a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Yeshiva University's Ferkauf Graduate School. She has completed extensive training as a trauma-informed counselor.

She works with people facing trauma, substance use, anxiety, depression, bipolar I, schizophrenia and other mood disorders. Committed to breaking the stigma around mental illness, she works with clients of all backgrounds, regardless of race, socioeconomic status or religion.

Approach

My Framework

Beth's preferred modalities are psychodynamic, person-centered and cognitive behavioral therapy. Psychodynamic work looks at how earlier experience shapes the present; a person-centered stance keeps the client in the active role.

She brings CBT to unlearning thoughts and behaviors that no longer serve, and teaches grounding and mindfulness as tools to use outside the room. Whatever the intervention, Beth treats each person as the expert on their own life.

Working With Beth

Getting started

Begin with the free 5 to 10 minute consultation. It is a short conversation to see whether working with Beth fits what you are looking for, and to talk through timing and whether in person or video suits you better.

Sessions run 50 to 60 minutes, and a 48-hour cancellation policy applies.

In person or by video

In-person sessions take place at the practice's offices in Coral Gables, Coconut Grove and Manhattan. Video sessions are available anywhere in Florida or New York, as long as you are physically in one of those states during the session. Ask on the consultation call where Beth is seeing clients.

The practice does not provide emergency services. In a crisis, call or text 988, or dial 911.

A free 5 to 10 minute consultation is a good place to start.

Tell us a little about what brings you here and we will find a time to talk.
